Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns, ensuring full compliance with regulations.
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor financial performance through variance analysis.
- Support external and internal audits by providing organized documentation and schedules.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records and fixed asset schedules.
- Collaborate with department heads to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA designation is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
