Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L) in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage general ledger accounting, including journal entries and month-end close procedures.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
- Perform bank reconciliations and variance analysis to identify trends and discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and coordinate with external auditors.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with department heads to create and monitor departmental budgets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced MS Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
