Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
- General Ledger: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage the full cycle of AP/AR, including invoice processing, payments, and collections.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure data integrity and cash flow accuracy.
- Tax Preparation: Assist in the preparation of local, state, and federal tax filings and returns.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in current accounting workflows and implement solutions to improve productivity.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Certification: CPA, CMA, or EA certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks, Sage, or SAP.
- Excel Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and Macros.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and error reduction.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting to management.
