Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile all payroll and benefits accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Prepare complex monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, with a focus on compensation reporting.
- Analyze compensation data to support HR initiatives and ensure internal equity.
- Collaborate with HR and external vendors to administer employee benefit programs effectively.
- Conduct internal audits of financial records and processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in budget planning and forecasting related to operational expenses.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and tax laws.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree (MBA) preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in accounting, with specific experience in benefits administration or compensation.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a strong plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite).
- Strong understanding of payroll tax laws, 401(k) plans, and health benefits regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
