Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including AP/AR, GL reconciliation, and month-end closes
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) with variance commentary
- Lead internal controls implementation and SOX compliance documentation
- Coordinate external audits and provide supporting documentation to auditors
- Develop financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis
- Streamline accounting processes using ERP systems (Sage 100 preferred)
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (MBA/CPA strongly preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced Excel proficiency (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas)
- ERP system experience (Sage 100, NetSuite, or equivalent)
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication skills with stakeholders at all levels
