Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate payments.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist external auditors during the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Support the preparation of corporate tax filings and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Develop and maintain internal controls and financial policies to safeguard company assets.
- Utilize advanced Excel functions to generate complex reports and financial projections for management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or public accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and internal stakeholders.
