Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger accounting and accounts payable/receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence, and filing necessary reports.
- Conduct financial audits and reconciliations of bank accounts and general ledger accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure timely filing.
- Collaborate with department heads to forecast future financial trends and develop annual operating budgets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with stakeholders.
