Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- General Ledger: Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Month-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including variance analysis and journal entry preparation.
- Compliance: Ensure the company remains compliant with all federal, state, and local tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Auditing: Assist external auditors during annual audits and prepare necessary schedules and documentation.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance internal controls.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree (MBA) or CPA certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or professional services environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with an exceptional eye for detail and accuracy.
