Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes with strict adherence to deadlines
- Conduct reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts
- Assist with internal and external audit procedures, ensuring documentation compliance
- Monitor financial controls and implement process improvements for night shift operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting discrepancies
- Support tax preparation and compliance initiatives for California-based entities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- Minimum 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate setting
- Proficiency with GAAP principles and California tax regulations
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial modeling
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
