Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Oversee daily journal entries, general ledger reconciliation, and month-end close procedures to ensure financial accuracy.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Account Reconciliation: Perform thorough reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card statements, and intercompany accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Compliance & Audit: Ensure strict adherence to GAAP and local regulatory requirements; assist external auditors during annual audits.
- Process Improvement: Streamline accounting workflows and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Payroll Support: Collaborate with the payroll department to ensure accurate timekeeping and wage processing.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or high-volume accounting environment.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or SAP; expert-level Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
