Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns and ensure all tax filings are completed accurately and on time.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statements to identify discrepancies.
- Conduct internal audits and assist external auditors during the annual audit process.
- Oversee general ledger maintenance and assist with the month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and support budget preparation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master's degree (MBA) preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in general accounting or a similar financial role.
- CPA certification is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and federal/state tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
