Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Reconcile bank accounts and prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Oversee general ledger entries and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Conduct regular audits and assist external auditors during the annual review process.
- Prepare budget reports and assist in financial forecasting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA candidate preferred.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
