Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statements to ensure accuracy.
- Compliance: Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Budgeting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and provide variance analysis to management.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process optimization within the accounting department.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Certification: CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Software: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite; Advanced Excel skills required.
- Analytics: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
