Job Overview
The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial integrity. You will be responsible for full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This is a high-impact role for someone who loves numbers and solving complex financial puzzles.
Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Compliance & Audits: Assist in external audits and ensure internal controls are effective and compliant with federal and state regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
- Team Collaboration: Mentor junior staff and collaborate with the finance team on budget preparation and forecasting.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Master’s degree (MBA) or CPA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks) and advanced MS Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to stakeholders.
- Integrity: High level of attention to detail and a strong ethical compass.
