Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliation.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and audit preparation to ensure data accuracy.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor departmental budgets and forecasts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a strong plus.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in full-cycle accounting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, PivotTables).
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
