Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Audit Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Process Optimization: Streamline accounting workflows and implement internal controls to enhance efficiency.
- General Ledger: Manage general ledger accounts, reconciling balance sheet and income statement items with precision.
- Compliance: Ensure the company remains compliant with federal and state tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior accountants and assist in the training of new staff members.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a significant plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
