Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and fixed assets.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and tax filings.
- Streamline financial reporting processes and implement best practices for efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification preferred).
- 3+ years of progressive experience in general accounting, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of US tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong communication skills, capable of presenting financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team setting.
