Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize general ledger operations, including month-end closing processes
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flows)
- Lead external audit coordination and compliance with GAAP/FASB regulations
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls for financial reporting
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable financial insights to leadership
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and bank reconciliations
- Implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or private sector
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting and compliance frameworks
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience managing accounting teams or complex financial projects
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder reporting and presentations
