We are seeking a detail-oriented Night Shift Accountant to join our finance team in Louisville, Kentucky. This role is perfect for a self-motivated professional who thrives in a quiet, focused environment and values accuracy above all else.
As part of our team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our financial records during off-hours, ensuring that all transactions are processed efficiently and reports are ready for the morning team.
Responsibilities
- Manage and process daily accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Perform nightly bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies immediately.
- Generate and distribute end-of-day financial reports and summaries.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Update and maintain the general ledger accounts.
- Review and audit invoices for accuracy and compliance.
- Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding billing and payment status.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor's preferred).
- 1+ years of experience in general accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (QuickBooks or SAP).
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent time management and ability to work independently during night shifts.
- Knowledge of GAAP principles is a plus.
- Must be available to work Monday through Friday, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM EST.
