Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end/quarter-end close procedures
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and variance reports
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
- Lead tax preparation processes and coordinate with external auditors
- Implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency
- Mentor junior accounting staff and provide technical guidance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Demonstrated experience with SOX compliance and internal controls
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities for cross-departmental collaboration
- Proven problem-solving abilities in complex financial scenarios
- Portland-based candidates preferred (no relocation assistance)
