Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure financial controls are effective and accurate.
- Collaborate with department managers to provide budget analysis, variance reporting, and forecasting support.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes efficiently and accurately.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Master’s degree preferred).
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting setting.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA certification is highly desirable.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Macros).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
