Responsibilities
- Oversee the monthly and annual financial reporting processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage general ledger activities, including account reconciliations and troubleshooting discrepancies.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, balance sheets, and variance analysis reports.
- Assist in the annual audit process by providing requested documentation and coordinating with external auditors.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial accounts on a monthly basis.
- Support budget preparation and forecasting initiatives to aid in strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or actively pursuing licensure.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a corporate setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and internal control procedures.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a high-volume environment.
