Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance analysis
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable functions and process payroll
- Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP
- Collaborate with audit teams during external examinations
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes for departmental heads
- Implement process improvements using financial automation tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven ability to manage competing deadlines in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
