Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes for 15-20 clients including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements ensuring compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations
- Lead tax preparation and planning initiatives for small to mid-sized businesses
- Implement and optimize accounting systems with QuickBooks Online and advanced Excel functions
- Conduct internal audits and provide strategic financial consulting to client stakeholders
- Mentor junior staff and develop standardized accounting workflows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special financial projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Excel, and accounting software
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and Colorado-specific compliance requirements
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and client relationships simultaneously
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional certification (CPA, CMA) or actively pursuing certification
