Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Manage general ledger accounts and perform complex account reconciliations.
- Assist in the annual external audit process and coordinate with external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements and tax regulations.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
