Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and month-end closing
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance and accuracy
- Oversee budgeting processes and variance reporting for department heads
- Conduct internal audits and implement process improvements for efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial forecasting and strategic planning
- Maintain compliance with federal/state tax regulations and filing requirements
- Lead financial system implementations and process automation initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel with VBA knowledge
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, audits, and compliance frameworks
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Experience managing accounting teams and process optimization projects
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder presentations and training
