Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Manage complex general ledger reconciliations and account maintenance
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
- Develop and implement internal controls for financial compliance
- Collaborate with audit teams during external examinations
- Provide financial forecasting and budget support to department heads
- Maintain accurate fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
- Train junior accounting staff on GAAP standards and software proficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate setting
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks Enterprise
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Proven experience with ERP systems (SAP or Oracle a plus)
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Tennessee CPA license or ability to obtain within 6 months
