Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly financial statements with accurate reporting of revenue, expenses, and variances
- Manage complex general ledger operations including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes
- Lead internal audits and SOX compliance initiatives while ensuring adherence to GAAP standards
- Develop financial models and forecasts to support strategic decision-making and budget planning
- Collaborate with tax department to ensure proper compliance and optimize tax strategies
- Mentor junior accounting staff and implement process improvements for financial operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification required
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Demonstrated expertise in financial statement preparation, variance analysis, and internal controls
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and multi-state tax regulations
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights
- Proven track record of improving financial processes and driving efficiency
