We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in San Francisco. Responsibilities
- Oversee and execute the weekend financial closing process, including bank reconciliations and general ledger adjustments.
- Prepare and analyze weekly financial reports, variance analysis, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and local regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the finance team to resolve discrepancies and improve operational efficiency.
- Maintain and update accounting systems and documentation to ensure data integrity.
- Assist in the annual audit process by providing necessary schedules and documentation.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities as required by the schedule.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or high-volume environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GAAP, and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, or SAP) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently during the weekend shift.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA designation is a plus.
