Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle accounting process, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L) in accordance with GAAP.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and year-end reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns, including supporting schedules and documentation.
- Perform variance analysis and provide insights to management to support financial decision-making.
- Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting policies to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA or CMA preferred).
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, preferably within a public accounting firm or corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and internal control frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced team setting.
