Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes with strict adherence to GAAP and SEC regulations
- Lead audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors for seamless compliance
- Develop and implement financial forecasting models to support strategic decision-making
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and optimize working capital
- Mentor junior accountants and improve departmental accounting workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years progressive experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions
- Deep knowledge of NY tax regulations and multi-state compliance
- Proven ability to manage SOX 404 audits and internal controls
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication abilities for presenting complex financial data
