Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records, ensuring all entries are recorded correctly and timely.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Payroll Processing: Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll, ensuring accuracy in deductions and tax withholdings.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities are compliant with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in accounting processes and implement solutions to increase efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and discrepancies.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Work Ethic: Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
