Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and ensure timely vendor/client payments
- Prepare and analyze financial statements with commentary for executive leadership
- Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure SOX compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Lead audit processes and coordinate with external auditors
- Optimize accounting workflows using ERP systems (SAP/Oracle experience preferred)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in GAAP, financial reporting standards, and tax compliance
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables) and accounting software
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven experience managing month-end closes and reconciliations
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder reporting
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
