Responsibilities
- Oversee the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Manage the monthly and weekly payroll process to guarantee employees receive their pay on schedule.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist in the preparation of annual audits and tax filings.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proven experience with financial reporting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks) and MS Excel (Advanced).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP accounting principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced DC-based office.
