Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with accuracy and timeliness
- Conduct detailed reconciliations for bank accounts, investments, and ledger entries
- Manage and optimize accounts payable/receivable processes for operational efficiency
- Collaborate with auditors during external examinations and ensure compliance
- Develop and implement financial controls to mitigate risks and enhance reporting
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate accounting
- Expertise in financial reporting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and regulatory compliance
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Excel
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Proven track record of managing month-end/year-end close processes
- Excellent communication skills for client/stakeholder interactions
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance a plus
