Responsibilities
- Oversee and execute the month-end and year-end closing processes specifically scheduled for the weekend.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all invoices are processed and payments are made on time.
- Assist with tax preparation, tax filings, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Perform internal audits and assist external auditors during their review periods.
- Maintain and organize financial records and documentation in compliance with company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working independently.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial data with the highest level of confidentiality.
