Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end closes and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and vendor management
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial reporting and audits
- Implement process improvements using accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP)
- Ensure compliance with federal/state tax regulations and filing requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end closes
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks/SAP)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and audits
- Ability to thrive in remote/hybrid work environments
