Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliation of bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Cost Accounting: Monitor and analyze budget vs. actuals, identifying variances and providing actionable insights to management.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities are compliant with federal and state regulations.
- Process Improvement: Streamline accounting processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
- Assist with Tax Preparation: Support the finance team during tax season by gathering necessary documentation and reports.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Experience: 2-5 years of progressive accounting experience preferred.
- Software: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, or similar ERP systems; Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Certification: CPA or CMA certification is a plus but not mandatory for this immediate opening.
- Skills: Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Work Style: Ability to work independently in a remote/hybrid environment while meeting deadlines.
