Responsibilities
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and variance reports
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance
- Conduct internal audits and implement process improvements for efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial forecasting and strategic initiatives
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS regulations, and internal controls
- Mentor junior accounting staff and support departmental training programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate finance
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, auditing, and tax compliance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
- Experience with multi-state tax regulations a plus
