Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy of journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax filings and returns.
- Support external and internal audits by providing requested documentation and schedules.
- Develop and maintain budget models and perform variance analysis to identify financial trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial reporting processes and efficiency.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree (CPA, CMA) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a high-volume setting.
