Apex Financial Partners is expanding our elite analytics team and is seeking a results-driven Senior Financial Analyst to join us in New York, NY. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in shaping the company's financial future by providing high-level analysis, forecasting, and strategic insights to executive leadership.

You will be responsible for dissecting complex financial data to uncover trends, drive profitability, and ensure sustainable growth for our diverse portfolio of assets.
Responsibilities
- Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Build and maintain sophisticated financial models to project revenue, expenses, and capital requirements with high accuracy.
- Variance Analysis: Conduct deep-dive analyses comparing actual performance against budgets and forecasts to identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Executive Reporting: Prepare clear, concise, and visually compelling presentations for the C-suite and board of directors highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Strategic Planning: Partner with business unit leaders to support strategic initiatives, assess project feasibility, and allocate resources efficiently.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in current financial workflows and implement automation tools to streamline operations.
- Compliance & Audit Support: Assist in external audits and ensure all financial reporting adheres to GAAP and internal compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; Master’s degree (MBA) is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or investment banking.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VBA, Macros) and experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and SQL.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, budgeting processes, and capital budgeting methodologies.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Location: Must be willing to work in our New York, NY office 3 days per week.
