Responsibilities
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial statement preparation.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable operations, including verifying, classifying, and recording transactions.
- Perform complex bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.
- Assist in the development of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis reports for executive leadership.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and internal controls.
- Prepare and analyze financial data to support business decision-making and process improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification is strongly preferred.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
