Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements ensuring UK GAAP compliance
- Manage complex account reconciliations for multi-corporate entities
- Lead tax compliance processes including VAT returns and corporation tax calculations
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls and financial reporting systems
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable financial insights to senior management
- Oversee payroll processing and employee expense reimbursement systems
- Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies
- Mentor junior accountants and drive continuous improvement in financial processes
Qualifications
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent international qualification)
- Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in accounting or finance
- Advanced proficiency in Excel with experience in financial modelling
- Proven expertise in UK tax regulations and statutory reporting
- Experience with ERP systems (Sage 50, Xero, or SAP)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder reporting
- Experience managing financial audits and compliance reviews
