Responsibilities
- Manage and prepare monthly financial statements and management accounts
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and ensure timely reconciliations
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis initiatives
- Ensure compliance with UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Coordinate external audits and tax filings
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent professional qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA)
- Minimum 5 years' experience in UK accounting practices
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software (Sage/Xero)
- Strong understanding of UK tax legislation and corporate compliance
- Proven ability to manage complex financial reporting cycles
