Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver accurate monthly financial statements for diverse corporate clients
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with strict adherence to UK GAAP
- Oversee VAT returns, corporation tax filings, and statutory compliance documentation
- Manage and mentor junior accounting staff through regular training sessions
- Develop financial models for forecasting and variance analysis
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual reviews
- Optimize accounting systems to enhance efficiency and reduce errors
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent UK accounting certification
- Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience in practice or industry
- Advanced proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, and Excel with VBA
- Demonstrated expertise in UK tax legislation and HMRC compliance
- Proven track record in managing complex financial reporting cycles
