Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Lead accounts payable/receivable processes with 3+ team members
- Develop financial models and forecasts for executive decision-making
- Coordinate external audits and tax compliance documentation
- Implement process improvements using QuickBooks Enterprise and SAP
- Mentor junior accountants on accounting standards and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in month-end close procedures and financial reporting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience managing accounting teams and cross-functional projects
- Knowledge of CA tax regulations and multi-state compliance
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines in fast-paced environments
