Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly financial statements with variance analysis and executive summaries
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes including reconciliations and journal entries
- Manage complex account reconciliations for multi-entity portfolios
- Develop and maintain internal controls ensuring SOX compliance
- Analyze financial trends and provide strategic recommendations to executive leadership
- Collaborate with auditors during quarterly and annual reviews
- Mentor junior accountants and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate accounting
- Advanced proficiency in Excel with VBA/macros and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Demonstrated expertise in GAAP compliance and financial reporting
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and regulatory filings
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities in fast-paced environments
