Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting for diverse client portfolios including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting and insightful commentary
- Oversee payroll processing, tax compliance, and regulatory filings ensuring adherence to GAAP and IRS standards
- Develop and implement internal controls to enhance financial accuracy and operational efficiency
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with precise journal entries and account reconciliations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights supporting strategic business decisions
- Maintain robust financial documentation and audit trails for compliance and review purposes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with CPA certification strongly preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with proficiency in full-cycle accounting operations
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Excel (including macros/pivot tables), and accounting software
- Proven track record of managing complex financial portfolios and improving process efficiencies
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights
- Strong attention to detail with demonstrated success in meeting tight deadlines and accuracy standards
