Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely posting of financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing and collections.
- Assist with the preparation of federal and state tax returns, ensuring full compliance with tax laws.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement.
- Maintain and update fixed asset registers and assist with budget preparation and variance analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting, preferably in a remote or hybrid environment.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Superior written and verbal communication abilities with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
