Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Manage the reconciliation of bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts.
- Assist with the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring all invoices are accurate and payments are made on time.
- Conduct internal audits and assist external auditors during year-end reviews.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial reporting processes and internal controls.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulatory changes affecting the finance department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is highly preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting to management.
- Self-motivated individual capable of managing time effectively in a remote work environment.
